Golden Opportunity

Just like that? Once here, now gone. Taken away from me, Like a thief in the night. Why did it have to end like this? My love, concealed secretly Inside the confines of your beauty, Has withered away into nothing. Why did it take so long, For me to realize you never truly loved me? Friendships can be easily mended, But this one may be beyond repair. Your lustful vengeance Clears a straight path of destruction, Which has carried this relationship, To what is now the end. Why did it begin if you considered it a waste? Once considered an unbearable loss Has dissolved into a golden opportunity. An opportunity you’ll never be able to take away from me, again.
