The Lighthouse (tanka)

stark against the sky searching for souls to save the lighthouse stands straight it's beacon a light of hope to point the way to come home

This poem is a tanka which is a japaneese style consisting of 5 lines, 31 syllables, similiar to haiku only instead of 3 lines of 5,7,5 beats, it is 5 lines if 5,7,5,7,7..non rhyming...usually it is about nature, emotions, personal musings or philosophy...no punc. is suppose to be included in this style...
