NEVER FORGOTTEN

I am grateful for the times we shared, And it hurts to know they are gone. But only God knows the burden you bared, Before He called you home. Now you reap the Heavenly rewards that await I know that in Heaven you shine. For on earth there was no one you ever forsaked, Now you deserve Heaven devine. You looked into the face of darkness, And still you were unafraid. Through it all you were selfless, Strong, witty, loving and brave. For each life you ever touched, You brought joy and so much more. I could never pay you back as much, As you gave to me for sure. I am proud to have had known you, And better for having had you in my life. God only knows what you went through, But yet you took it all in stride. One thing I know without a doubt for sure, You have earned your angel wings. And I know that above the Heavens you soar, With no more burdens of earthly things. Lora Long
