The Critiquers

These words just now popped Into my very own mind As I sat down on the couch Looking out through the blind. The rain is falling gently While I began to think About the Critiquers Who are on the Link. Poems spiritual I write For that is my thing But 'tis fun to deviate This being what I bring. Two months are now gone Since I have been here With writing aplenty My mind still in gear. Fifteen poems submitted I think are too many But better to be more Than be without any. One hundred and twenty Have been my replies My fingers still working Though close to demise. Critiques I have given Maybe thirty or more And most quite lengthy With me, there is no bore. Some of you write heavy And others write light And those on the first line Keep me up to midnight. Now more I have written These two months on earth Than the time I have lived Since my moment of birth. One suggestion I have If you critique short Let all the words fly More points your support. And I think we all know The final word we send Encouragement a must Then none do we offend. Now if you have smiled By the time you got here Then I have succeeded By bringing you cheer. As my parting thought Which is very true I appreciate you all But now rest, I will do.

Additional Notes:
1. The word Critiquers is not a ligitimate word; but it just now became legitimate as indicated in the next four lines: Because this is my poem, The word is correct; I just became Webster, A new word to select! Anyway, I think it looks good and I just had to use it. 2. No punctuation is used at the end of any lines except the period at the end of each verse with a few commas here and there(I think here and there is it -- only two). I think the poem flows more smoothly without a lot of punctuation and if read as I have designed it, The cadence and rhyme work best with a slight pause at the end of each line. 3. For me this is my last poem to submit though I may critique a few more. In reality, I can't 'rest' until I answer the replies that come in on this one. But I look forward to everything. Nothing dull in my life and I enjoy it all including every critiquer(my new word) on the link! Going on a little vacation to Ohio to our grandson's wedding and visit friends the middle of this month. 4. I just wrote this poem in a few hours or so today and wanted to submit it the same day. PS. I am over 60! Helps you to relate a little more to verse nine.
