Requiem for a friend

The sky is dark, The clouds are grey, Just learned of your passing today. Even though I won`t see you again, I know that you`ve stopped at a better place. Always, I will miss your smiling face. You were here with us for such a short time, Now you are ready to make that heavenly climb. I`m hurting so much without you here, Memories I have will keep you near. My mind is cloudy My heart is heavy My knees are weak To hear your voice one last time, Is what I seek. With God`s plan it is not to question why, But to reluctantly say...goodbye
