Dictum

You may not do this anymore, I say Not hit nor punish me for sins unearned I will not let you hurt me in Today!  You made me kneel on iron grate, to sway From knee to knee in agony, mind burned: You may not do this anymore, I say. You came up to my room at end of day And satisfied your needs, a sour nocturne I will not let you hurt me in Today  You stole the childhood right I had to pray And feel that I am worthy of concern You may not do this anymore I say.    You taught that love was pain, and so I stayed A prisoner of the past, adulthood spurned. I will not let you hurt me in Today. I have through time sought long and hard a way To love my self and this good life. I've learned You may not do this anymore. I say     I will not let you hurt me in Today.
