Step Back

The appalling attack all have seen, anger bursts forth in viewing the scene. Anguish brews all revenge just now, blame placed upon a particular brow. Difficult it seems for us to wait, pain internal proceeds to grate. Believing we may know who is the foe, being sure before delivering that final blow. Pray for anticipated wisdom just now, the ruin of America we won’t allow. Terrorists have killed family and friends, vengeance, we know, will soon transcend. Step back for a moment, take a breath, grieving the loss of multitudinous deaths. Extreme reactivity without complete thought, won’t bring righteousness, only distraught. Searching for numerous lives must go on, we’ll step back until the truthful dawn. Resulting in the victory which will be won, punishment of the guilty shall be done.

Additional Notes:
Anger and revenge are natural. Protecting our nation is vital. But doing it in the best possible way is critical. We must be proactive, not reactive. A very difficult emotion in the middle of this devastating time. Please know I am as angry as anyone and I want justice to be done in the worst way. Not everyone may agree, but these are my thoughts.
