Engulfed In Time and Grey - 9/11/01 (revised)

Forever began the day the clock stepped aside to admit the wind; the day we were captured by a monument of grey. Forever began the day tomorrow's doors were locked with burning keys; the day the sky was broken in the glare of the morning star. Forever began in the hands of the Prince of Goodbye, just past the cornfield, beneath the warm earth where our hearts came to rest. Forever began in the corridors of misty minds, among the stones of dry faith, where the uniforms of hope melted into ashes of disbelief. Forever began the moment the windows billowed open, the moment our souls stepped out into the beginning, into forever.
