The Best of Friends

My love for you is rare and divine, friendship and love are intertwined. My small hand to thee, with no delay; friendship promises are here to stay. Oh, friend of mine, your love I seek. Will friendship bind a love so meek? We walked a path and treaded it well- whispers are weeping of tales to tell. Oh, love of mine, for you I'll weep. Will love unbind a most sacred keep? We talked of memories as none before, and we lived inside them, behind a door. The greatest of gifts, a friend indeed, but will life shatter because of need? You are my sun, my darkest of nights: I cannot live between dark and light.
