Elephant Bar & Grill

It was a quiet night in the restaurant, few patrons, an ambience about the room. Dim lights and soft hued walls, rattan fans, leaf like, waving silently above the bar. Our waitress, congenial, greets us with a smile as we order drinks, a people person for sure. Nestled comfortably in the booth, we reminisce.  Warm memories and passion, issues not easy to face, pleasurable moments and paths so difficult to travel. We laugh. I cry. Story of us. Our waitress approaches again. "Another drink?.... perhaps dessert?" She comments how impressed she is, the two of us conversing throughout our meal. We tease with her. A couple united, lovers, journeying together, ecstatic, happy to be one. A fallacy she'll never know to be untrue. She delights in us and one is happy.
