Loneliness

As I walked beside the deep, blue river; I felt deep in my soul, a lonely quiver. The silent river seemed to whisper a song of lonely sorrow and grief so strong. My soul had drifted to an unknown doom, my heart had sunken with worldly gloom. For my life is lonely without his care, and I can never escape the dark despair.
