THE TRUE WAR...
From dust to dust with skeletal remains of twisted steel, The symbol of the West and freedom crashes - yet we feel To "carry on as usual" - thinking in this way we stave Off those who would wreak havoc on our lives, our cherished way... And fail to see that it is we who've caused much of this strife By pinning our desires and motives on their way of life. Pursuit of "things" - consumption of much more than what we need - Is, by the rest of all mankind, most oft' perceived as greed. And power over others, just because we have the means To enforce our ways upon them, does not breed in them esteem Nor grateful, rapt approval! No - they hate the very thought Of "freedom" as we view it... thus our way is to be fought. The ignorant will beleaguer and protest each point of truth And cause hate to be sown into each breast of budding youth To carry on their battle - savage warriors against change, Who have no love - affection - for a daughter, wife... How strange To them is our connection to our loved ones - Liberty - The true war is with IGNORANCE! How can we set them free? For women are but chattle - "breeders" - having no respect Or honored place among men who abuse them and neglect Their proper education. Such a closed society Will carry on in fetters until death...or Liberty Releases all its victims - warriors - spiteful to the last. They cannot make advancements living ever in the past!
