The Black Rose

Blooming just now as flaming colors fade,   drawing me out with revolting radiance.     Lathered by delusions to snatch my soul,       the rose of deception, misleading, consuming. The flower bestowed upon an innocent girl,   brushed with fragrances of disgrace and death.     Displaying it's petals with illusory lies,       surging seduction only sorrow is revealed.  The black rose of evil seeking to control    will not persevere to command my aim.      Cognition of the past now brought toward light,        will descend dismissed of it's ultimate goal.  As memories are exposed they won’t devour,    the truth of reflection held close this day.      Petals of black, plucked one by one,        will fall to hell where they shall reside.
