Pen in Hand

When I close my eyes to rest Sleep does not come to me Words float about inside my head Causing me to rise instead With paper and pen in hand I scribble down each word For when the words are done A sign of "oh yes" escapes me I read what has been given At times I feel such joy I know I have not written this  For I would not have felt the words Today I share with you Whether in poetry or in prayer What blessings the Lord Has extended unto me I hope you receive  A special gift from God When your reading is complete For this is His message to you Put your faith to work today Trust in the Lord Your life can change If only you let go Believe He is here with you Feel His presence God's love has no boundaries God loves you
