Drinking Reprieve

Some nights just leak  and some nights just drink reprieve. Most claim the silent part in me. Some nights are just strokes  and some are just rolls and smoke...  others become layovers till tomorrow  but that’s usually just another hangover. Some nights should be left  and never quenched again. Some nights should be clean again  and have sober mornings.  Recently its been hands down  to empty bottles and lonely beds, heavy eye lids. Scribbling to tattered threads all about fall bringing out dead colors,  until they hit zero and decompose.  Some nights just bleach  most nights just peak boredom... others take form of being once again  but that’s usually just more of a tease.  Some nights just leak  and some nights just drink reprieve.  Most take the better half in me.
