Yesterday’s Pain

What empowers the life of a child, when injustice cannot be changed? The shattered fragments as if a puzzle, contemplated, shifted, and rearranged.  Youthful weeping never goes away, it merely fades beyond hidden sight. Sorrowed tears nevertheless flow free, within the silence of a somber night. Each slumber enhances hidden wounds, distinct misfortunes of suffering held deep.  Darkness lingers, profound dread heightens, conditioned by life’s terrors even while asleep. Now grown, reaching out for righteous faith, exhaustively in search for genuine gain. Tomorrow might disclose healing and trust, in this you must encounter yesterday’s pain.
