Taking Down The Tree

As I stand and start the task of taking down the tree, with every ornament removed much sadness circles me. For every Christmas seems to bring a stirring in my soul, for all I've lost between the trees has surely took its tole. As I remove the shinning balls and pack them all away, sad thoughts are churning in my head while standing here today. The passing years have quickly fled and all the changes brought, have caused my eyes to fill with tears and I myself; distraught.
