NATHAN

Eyes that twinkle all the while, A hint of mischief in the smile; Blond hair and eyes of deepest blue, Make up the little boy that's you. A little imp who loves to tease, You drive your mother wild, Then you try so hard to please,  A sweet and loving child. Life sometimes gave a load of pain, Heartache and grief-then again It also gave abundant joy In the form of you, my darling boy. Oh child of my child, may I be blessed To see you grow to be your best. I pray each night to heaven above, May you ever have the Father's love. And this one thing I promise you, You'll always have your Grandma's too.

Additional Notes:
I wrote this about 9 years ago for my Grandson, Nathan, who I am pleased to report,I have been blessed to watch grow. Today he is 12 years old, taller than his Grandmother, (I am 5'4"), plays football, golf and is a wonderful kid. He still loves to tease however.
