The Heart of Morning Dove

Morning Dove was an angelic spirit in human form her heart like the towering pines and powerful as a raging storm Her heart set on a trapper by the name of Thaddeus Macgee the white eyes forbade it, and the Coctaw could not see But unlike the white man they were allowed to settle down and share a wigwam on native land. Thaddeus was gruff and wildly handsome a true mountain man out there in the wild In the love he shared with his Coctaw princess a gift from heaven now would be their newborn child Morning Dove knew her time was nearer as she listened to sounds of ancient spirits, chanting in tribal tongue This gift from her creator now becoming clearer as Evening Star entered into her earthly realm In the wigwam Thaddeus Macgee stood up proudly at the sounds of the distant celebration drums, echoing their song At his dancing, Morning Dove laughed out loudly as hearts entwinded and now became as one.
