Until Then (Revised)

It was a lazy, hazy summer morning As I started out taking my usual stroll When I stopped upon an old stone bridge Feeling old age was taking its toll Beneath ran sparkling, crystal clear water I could see rocks, fish, the shadows of bird’s wings Gently flowing toward a majestic ocean Taking with it all a babbling brook brings Could it be, or is it just my imagination? I shiver, feeling something is in the air The smell of roses, tulips, irises, daisies assault the senses...Flowers are everywhere Azure sky, where pink-tinged clouds are circling  And way up high, I see a snow-white dove How could you die, and leave my heart beating?  I wish you were still here, my only true love Oh, but you are...for just a moment, I’d forgotten I can see you in the sky, the flowers, in the streams I’ll be here again, on this old stone bridge, tomorrow Waiting to hold you, in the shadows of my dreams ©Arnetta F. Stillwell March 25th-2002

I wasn't happy with this, so after reading it several times, THIS is(I hope), the final version. Depends on the critiques I get, huh? lol
