The Investigation into the Disappearance of Gorgeo

Suspect #1:  Middle-aged woman in a trailer park “Oh yeah, Gorgeous used to live here for a while, anyway. Young, void of bad habits, she dined on catcalls and whispers and appreciative stares. I hated her then, so full of herself, indiscreet, fickle, haughty and bold. 'Charming,' they all said while she collected love like a panful of dust. After a few years, I threw the bitch out with chain smoking and scowls, cheap scotch and the sun– just to teach her a lesson, if ‘ya know what I mean. You probably don’t care but I’m still easy to love– I’m dying for a little bite of a stare and a whisper, just a nibble and perhaps a slice of forgiveness. But, you know G.– she doesn’t like to dwell on the past. She makes no exceptions, that cruel, selfish bitch. Hell, yeah, I’m glad she’s gone.” • • • • • Suspect #2:  Nursing home resident “Sure, I knew Gorgeous, but she went by Beauty in my day. When she arrived she wasn’t useful, didn’t have many skills, so I taught her to type, the meaning of Nitsche, we collected blankets for the poor, learned new languages, saw the pyramids, prayed for veterans of war, cried at lost loves. . . . You know, I almost feel guilty? When she disappeared I barely noticed, don’t miss her all that much. Sorry I can’t be of better help, but I did hear she moved in with some teenager  on the west side of town. If you see that poor child, well,  be sure to warn her, won’t you? Gorgeous likes to leave. I think it’s in her nature.” • • • • • Suspect #3:  Teenage girl in an uptown bar “Gorgeous and I are together, so what?  People comment a lot, but I don’t think about it much, she’s just there, always has been and I don’t ask her why  or if she will leave. Don’t tell me what’s in her nature! She’s devoted to me. She’s never left my side a single day of my life! I’m better now.  Really.  Thank you  for the drink. She’s done a lot for me. I’ll admit I like the gifts and attention. She helps me get laid and invited to parties, sometimes, she lets me tell half-truths, even lies, just to see what will happen– hey, most people aren’t listening anyway. In fact, I can see  you’re not listening either, are you? Are you? Well, I see you’ve found your precious Gorgeous, and to tell you the truth, you poor, stupid sap, neither one of us really cares.”

Additional Notes:
The sub-headers (Suspects #1, 2, & 3) are supposed to be bolded, but I can't figure out how to bold them. Just thought it was worth mentioning.
