SIMPLE MOVEMENT

Now deep within my God-made brain Lie foreign objects made by man; Probes and wires placed without pain By skillful hands and careful plan. Plagued for years with tremors, I jerked Or froze in painful spasms in place. Drugs that once helped, no longer worked As reflected my mirrored, expressionless face. Surgeons with space-age technology      Held in their hands the next level of chance For my living life with renewed quality; A boost to confidence, movement, and balance. Time, being the essence of archenemies, And a cure dangling likely a decade away, Might this offering increase probabilities I could see the dawn of that glorious day. The seeds of doubt were naturally sown, Yet reality left me no room To dwell on lists of risks well known Or sink into dark fits of gloom. Showered was I with a family's pure love  As vigils of prayer shared by caring friends Invoked  bright blessings beyond and above, Empowering the best of all healing blends. Based on a revival of spirit and faith, My decision was finally wrought. The date thus set, I began my wait For relief I so solemnly sought.    Now deep within my God-made brain Lie foreign objects made by man; Probes and wires placed without pain By skillful hands and careful plan.
