Ebony

Ebony…..... My Color, Me. Resilient and strong; Rich with history, no place to belong- Misled, mistaken misplaced. Never ever allowing but always rebounding, dispel the thinking, of what I can be. Ebony…...... My Color, Me. Shades and  tones, From dark as night to creamy light. Misread, mistreated, miserable Yet hope arising, by faith receiving,  and not becoming what they thought of me. Ebony...... My color Me. God’s earthly choice; to show the world, His other voice. Misguided, misused, misunderstood. Burdens worth bearing, prelude to proving, I rise fulfilling what I knew I’d be.
