An Ordinary Day

Did you ever see a butterfly, Did you ever see a swallow die? Did you ever see a sandy shore, Did you ever love till you can't anymore? Did you ever bow then stand up tall, Did you ever look up and feel so small? Did you ever kneel and bend to pray, And thank GOD for an ordinary day?

Additional Notes:
I found this poem in an old book of poems I had written. I think it may have been written in the late 80's. My life was pretty hectic during that time so I probably was always looking for an ordinary day.
