Coming Back To "The Haight"

This is not my neighborhood now.      Twenty  years has taken me very far from here,          And keeping a personal vow      I came back, but fearing a change of atmosphere          I approached it so cautiously      That this old sidewalk didn't recognize my feet.          But it hadn't changed, not to me.   You should have seen the way I use to walk this street.
