I am self-employed, glorying in the luxury of working out of my little cottage in the country. Whenever inspiration pounces, I can capture it immediately! I live alone, even pet-less (for the moment). But I have many loyal orchids and peace lilies to keep lend plenty of "active meditation" time. I'm a spiritual pilgrim, and love philosophizing (not to be confused with "politicizing").
