Hello, my name is Pamela A. Lamppa, but you can call me Pam. I was born in 1958 on the Mesabi Iron Range of Northern Minnesota and currently live in Plymouth, MA. I have two children, a son who is 22 yrs old and a daughter who is 6 yrs old. My interests include: antiques; crocheting; swimming; gardening and writing. I began writing poetry about age 9 or 10.
"I always felt that it was normal to "create" from a different level. It was a level where I would blend the element of mystery with every day occurrences. I thought everyone did it. My goal is to experience, taste, touch, and see a realm where angels exist and fairy wings billow on the edges of a meadow near dusk. A realm where, when the sun touches the horizon one can almost hold the glow as if it were a gold bar. A heavy metal, yet valued higher than any element known. A realm where the glistening of moonlight on a dewdrop provides light to an entire ocean; where mermaids swim and glitter above the reefs and anglers watch for their magical powers at the dawning of a storm. For over 20 years, I have lived in Plymouth, MA, where I have explored the sea, lived the hustle and bustle, loved and lost, and developed a new dimension to my verse."
"Poetry is my way of sharing my views, my ideas, and my feelings with others. If effectively written, my verse will have an emotional effect on not only the reader, but on myself as well. I love to be creative with words and art because it helps us as people, to see the abilities we have within ourselves to offer so much to others than a casual hello or a brief wave. It helps us to recognize that we are alike in so many ways along with our unique differences. Poetry is sharing the ability to grow and learn from one another. It is a medium that invites the mind to travel to places it may never have thought to go otherwise. It is there to evoke thoughtful emotion."
