Born & Bred in the USA. I am a baby boomer who tends to romance and reflect on less complicated times.
I left home in my junior year but managed to finish High School and graduate. College was not an option. Married at 19,….divorced at 23,….remarried at 24. Three great kids and a loving wife!
I drifted into construction and spent most of my life self-employed in that field. Rendered disabled at the age of 30 due to an automobile accident,….no fault of my own.
I love to write but lack the education to get the punctuation right or understand the technical side as I should. Oh well…..
I write in rhyme. I wish I better understood or enjoyed poetry that doesn’t rhyme,….but I do not. The idea of conveying an idea, emotion or observation in a surprising way and make it work in rhyme appeals to me. I guess I am a dinosaur. Hey,….maybe there’s a career at Hallmark waiting for me!
I recently lost 15 years worth of poetry and short stories when my computer was reformatted and hope to retrieve that work some day. I am broken hearted as a result. I do have some “hard” copies of my work in storage and hope to dig it out some day!
I work from home on the Internet. I operate over two hundred websites,…..not as impressive as it sounds. I manage to stay “in the black” with a few extra dollars left over for an occasional carton of “smokes”. Mostly it keeps me busy and feeling like I’m still somewhat useful. I sell Internet Advertising to other Internet Entrepreneurs.
Like tens of thousands of writers (if not more), my dream would be to actually earn a living from writing. Hey,….stranger things have happened!
