Blessings of A Good Night's Rest

The pillow on the bed holds my head upon the shoulder of "Jesus” for blessed dreams countless breaths nights of rest in peaceful dress. The night is not as long nor fearful with an ocean song that rushes to and fro wakening claiming  a garden of hope. The tide has turned over again mornings cut out brand new gems. Of dawn to touch  feelings of lightened pigments from darkened dust.

Re-write- A poem I posted a few months back critiqued twice. I've omitted lines and rearranged verbiage in lines to pull these verses together.

Deni, I think I like the "lightened pigments" the most. There is a conditional response, a loving approach to sleep and dreams. Last night I had several dreams. I know I dream- and that sleep is truly the "garden of hope" although in your piece, they provided waking as such. When I read this piece I recalled; how many times did I sleep with the words on my lips, "morning has got to bring a better perspective, and hope- to a desparate time." Your piece shows just that. You know what, bad as it might have been, a new sunrise always did. A really splendid piece.

Hi, DeniMari, I think this poem is wonderful! I'm glad I wasn't around to read the original; but however it was, I believe your revision has exactly hit the spot! I could feel the comfort of carefree sleep with a looking forward to a beautiful day. My favorite lines are: The tide has turned over again mornings cut out brand new gems. Of dawn to touch feelings of lightened pigments from darkened dust. Bravo!!! TicaBelle
