Just the Facts

Color fades away light slips into night  time passes into now  now's gone before begun easy turns difficult  simple becomes complex beliefs are full of lies  if "ignorance is bliss" then everyone is happy!

Dellena, as always; a piece to make one think. On the outset, it seems heavier, and then lighter, and then one wonders if the contrast is purposeful for a greater metaphor. The past, as it transitions to now, (is it the colors that become gray scale?), as for time issuing the opposite of atrophy; I’ll have to think about that. Seems it’s all breaking down to its simplest forms for me, (at least the physical universe)- but then “ignorance is bliss” now there is the cloaked metaphor of “happiness”. I recall, in watching favorite movies (Elizabethtown and particularly Pleasantville) that ignorance has a way of resolving itself. Happiness being the residual effect of such resolution… EXCEPT- I believe you point of chosen, serviceable ignorance precludes evolution. An interesting piece.

I like this one. It is exactly as you say - Just the facts, as you see them. I think everyone can read a line or two and agree that it is fact for them. No suggestions - I like it just the way it is! Thanks for sharing.

Amazingly funny! Straight to the point with a hilarious ending - I know a lot of "Happy" people and I won't interfere with their bliss. No nits, it stands on it's own Dellena -& I very much enjoyed this from beginning to end. blessings, Deni

Each new line should start with a capital letter. An interesting poem - suggestions: Time (night passes into day)Day has gone before begun. Easy turns difficult? What does this mean? Beliefs become difficult is a sensible line explaining what is truth and what is lies, got that part. Not sure what you are trying to tell in your poem except that religions perhaps are confusing and where do you go to find the real peace. Ignorance is bliss...true; searching for truth is commonplace. Thanks for sharing, blessings, K.
