Far away and troubled

Once in a lifetime sometimes more a perfect dream becomes real I saw you then from far away not much more than a child not much less than a woman I saw you then for the beauty you are inside coming out outside radiating to my heart and eyes I saw you then from far away too far to reach too distant to touch too removed from the trouble that lay waiting ahead I saw you sometimes from far away in between then and now your beauty still in you still in my heart still in my eyes I saw you sometimes as the trouble came I saw the storm before the rain you continued on I did nothing I saw you sometimes from far away too far to help too distant to shelter too removed from the the trouble that you faced alone I see you now from far away your beauty never left you never left my heart never left my eyes never left my dreams I see you now the trouble is still there but you are above and far beyond I still do nothing I get what I deserve I see you now from far away too far to receive too distant to allow too removed to deserve your beauty, your love

Medard, the images you paint are common and extraordinary. You lead with –sometimes- and that continues powerfully through your piece. That love, or desire is created and captures the soul in its own birth, and then aspirations reach, till realization remands is the story of man and woman, over and again. Some might say the –hound of heaven- is much the same, yet this is the inverse, for the soul seeks with only images of what is as the solace for what the aspirations are. -too distant to allow- of the beauty, the vision, the trouble, that is the most candid look through the seekers eyes. –too distant to touch- -too distant too shelter- -too distant to allow-. You have capture in free prose, what is played out in living.

Hi Medard, I have to tell you, even though this piece is sad, I enjoyed reading every line. It is a doleful but well written poem that steps on the heart of this reader. Love poems are difficult to write as so many have been done before. However, I find this one to be fresh, with good word selection, emotional and compelling. Well done. Best wishes, cheyenne
