Ken at Christmas I listened for my chance to sing. The end
of Christmas dining brought games and puzzles,
all the evasions of identity,
the sublimations into something else
that substitutes for the passage of time
when passage of time is all you now know
and is the only way art can move you.
And I listened. And then I heard Ken, singing
just where I thought my opening would be
in his octogenarian teenage voice
singing at the end of his—how long?—life
like he was going to live forever. |

Beautiful. Only teenagers can sing as if they will never grow old, never know defeat, never know death. I love the line "when passage of time is all you now know" I could identify with many of the x-mas references.

Mark, such an experience is the building block of beyond the day. You have described it so well. I can say
that, beyond looking through your eyes; there remains the ongoing inspiration that events like that allow for
that really, I think, few other events can manage. There are a few, but each is special in its own way.
Thank you for sharing this moment. It was well managed.

Very happy feel good write that sets the imagery so well -
Wouldn't it be nice to experience this all year long -?
The flow is concise and there are no hidden messages within - Just holiday spirit spread out for all to enjoy,
blessings,
Deni
