The Reluctant Investigation

Winding wind trails testing     tips of Morrison shale. Clover touches at river turn    allowed by stilled inside          of diverting meander. Indian treasure signs brought            now to sight  On boulders dropped from above. Giving up what cost a king his hands  and his queen her last kiss upon them.

Additional Notes:
Monctezuma's treasure, believed to be the trove the Mormons found that helped to weather their "nation" through the Great Depression.

An interesting reasearch piece. I am not sure whether your intent is to laud the thoroughness of the finding or the proposition that anyone (oh yea that is going to happen) would have returned the treasure had they discovered it. I guess, to presume takes from the effort. Morrison Shale was a nice touch!! Finally; "last kiss" a vision, or moreso. Well done.

James, Utah's Morrison shale....... I think some still search for the treasure. Your work always gets me humping, teaching me something. There are ones that completely miss out on the adventure of you Good, as all your works are. Dellena
