The Beaded Curtain

Worlds between us  while you stand there A crystalline lattice in-between. Passing through  I have not gained Once the shower of light ends. Stepping back again  the moments part in two Glimpsing comes the magic  steady comes the end.

We die trying to still an experience, especially that of an otherwise enduring relationship or marriage.

JCH, My second favorite among your poems this month, close, almost vying with the Cortez poem. Nicely sustained metaphor throughout. MSS

Interesting read poet and your pen has created quite the images as your pen continued to flow.....We are born for one purpose and that is to die......the experinces we have in between at times we have no control over but for most of it we certaily have free reigns.......it is hard to let go and if this is indeed on dying it is not easy to watch someone we love earn their angel wings........this poem indeed reminded me of the last week spent with a mother and watching her spirit fly broke my heart even knowing she was just opening a new door for her ventures to begin. Okay, I'm so far off track but that is where you brought me. God Bless, Claire

James, How nice to have 'magic' memories. You are right we try to still the experience, mostly because we must live in the now. This poem is short but very powerful. And there is a bit of emotional ties to ones loved being remembered. I don't mind a look back glimpsing what was and may never be again.......... alas! Dellena
