Additional Notes:
Evidently our esteemed MSS is experimenting and that is delightful. His poem submission for this next month is quite interesting and deserves close reading. I would have given Mr. Patton higher scores on his one submission but he still won't extract the first person so his poem can have something more than a folksy rustic twang. Let its drift apply more broadly and you'll succeed more. Dellena wrote an excellent anti-war novel but this month the more novel won out with me. Lora is coming on strong and DeniMari has a captivating use of poetic language just waiting to fit in more tightly rendered verse. Now, to be explicit, why did I vote Duane's poem so high?...you might ask? Because its facets explode in your face. JCH

James, I like your reasoning for your votes, very sound thinking and something worth emulating. Excellent choices while I was surprised that you rated mine as high as you did; thank you. L

JCH, MSS shows the road wherever he happens to be on the itinerary. The road usually swerves suddenly and tends to go back upon itself. Only the Shadow knows. Had I voted, it'd have been yours and Duane's in the top two slots. No quibbles here. I thought "Ne'er Paragon" should be higher. I look more for voice, character - Deni's comes across. To me, that is more than "tightly rendered." MSS

I agree that Duanes poem was great; and my submission Heal - To Trust Is Bliss was my least favorite of my posts. But it's what others enjoyed more; so I'm happy I was in to earn more credits. We have Mark back; and I'm hoping that June progresses - with some more good reads. blessings, Deni
