The Virtues of a Parasite

Its host its house   roofing it from indigestion Caring for its comfort From the slightest degradation Else it would be aught but             abomination....like: >Our race is the master race. We are divine gods on this planet. We are as different from the inferior races as they are from insects. In fact, compared to our race, other races are beasts and animals, cattle at best. Other races are considered as human excrement. Our destiny is to rule over the inferior races. Our earthly kingdom will be ruled by our leader with a rod of iron. The masses will lick our feet, and serve us as our slaves....Menachem Begin (Israeli Prime Minister, 1977-1983)<

the poem is powerful. taken in context from the quote it is hideous. I don't know whether to watch for irony or bigotry. I do know one thing, the minute the palestinians quit murdering israeli's, the israilis will leave them alone. http://begincenterdiary.blogspot.com/2009/05/correcting-misquotation-reputedly-by.html The misquote has been on the net for a long time, and proliferated. I am surprised to see it here. Mostly, our detractors will say what they will. Saul Alinsky teaches that truth is not necessary for vanquishing and setting the new truth. The ends justify the means. TPS See Below: Indeed, the radical French-Israeli journalist, Amnon Kapeliouk, did attribute such a quote to Begin in his New Statesman article criticizing Israel’s invasion of Lebanon. The author posited: For this reason the government has gone to extraordinary lengths to dehumanize the Palestinians. Begin described them in a speech in the Knesset as "beasts walking on two legs However, further investigation by CAMERA reveals that the actual speech upon which Kapeliouk based his quote, as well as news reports at the time demonstrate that the journalist distorted the quote, giving it a completely different tone and meaning. Begin was referring not to "the Palestinians" in a general sense but very specifically, he was referring to terrorists who target children within Israel...Kapeliouk neither recanted nor apologized for his deception...

JCH, This one is a bit of a riddle to me. And I'm not sure that quote is accurate. I have to assume it's not until I see a credible source for the quote. I've no water to carry for Begin, but truth is truth. Jesus's phrase, "whited sepulchers," comes to mind in reading this. Am I on target? I hope the health care bill passes. It'll blow the lid off. The US won't be the same in 10, 15 years, maybe less. I think the best hope for us is its dismantling. You want a way out: just watch what happens, what the some states and strong state leadership does after this thing passes. Just watch. And Amen I say. The federal monolith centralizing authority and power in the hands of the "designers" here and making the "Pax Americana" there is shortest way for the monsters to implement their designs. Some might think I've gone off the deep end with all this secesh talk, but mark my words - shorter than 10 years I think, maybe 5 or even less. Watch developments. It's time for the people to rise and "alter and abolish" a government that doesn't secure their rights, but takes them away, and takes them away internationally. The time for hoping for representative change in Washington is OVER. This is the political weapon of hope, the objective, political remedy for humanity. It begins here, since America indeed is destined. MSS

James, How disgusting [his speech], but you actually said it all. We are actually related to all of life. Our hair has dna color same as Octopus ink, our eyes see because of plants chlorophyll. The sun is in our eyes. So animals, insects etc. are our family. The bible doesn't ring true for me because it says we're to use everything on the Earth for our advantage. Which is untrue. We are all equal. The Earth belongs to all. WE are the cancer with our killing for no reason. Wars, secrets kept to heal and help the betterment of all life. Back to your poem writing, I love it's pertinence and applicable-ness. You are the best! Dellena

Hi, JC - I dated a parasite, it's true, for almost 7 years until I wised up, and took an impulsive leap away from someone who was leeching off of me and not giving anything back. I can relate to your poem at a personal level. Nice lead in to the > arrow for the completion of the poem. We are considered the master race (although I think someone deemed that so, but we don't use our minds to the full potential given. Imagine if only 20,000 would take on a learning experience and not stay planted in their bodies, happily content to know no more. The take on racism is noticed, & impact of the quote is noted. This kingdom and all under it will suffer the consequences when enough is enough - Does it make you want to go back in time, say to the '50's? I was born during those years, and think life was better then, more relaxed - the hectic pace we're suppose to keep up with now with too much information, and new technology is making me feel old. blessings, loved the write, Deni
