The Dove

Love is life Life is love Hate is evil Against the Dove Who's to say It's a great day When all that's evil and bad Poisons the world which is sad But what is life Without the Dove? Which is the symbol of purity And everlasting love

Quite endearing and beautifully written. We all want peace but to strive against the negative influences in life is challenging - we must look beyond and be able to accept the evil in life - and move up and over it to remain calm in our own minds and hearts. Lovely, blessings, Deni

Hi Steve, When I first read this poem I wasn't sure about it. Then I read it again and realized it is much more profound than I first thought. Evil does poison all it touches and how could we exist without the Dove who represents all that is good. I like the brevity of this write and the words you chose to express the message. Well done. Best wishes, cheyenne

Steve, Nice first attempt. The rhythm of the poem is a little off in places, but that's okay. My favorite part is the last portion: "But what is life Without the Dove? Which is the symbol of purity And everlasting love" Makes me think of that perfect love that always loves, forgives, is always there. It is hopeful that regardless of what is going on, the Dove, the perfect love, is ever present. Thanks for sharing, Kim
