Monopoly Didn't see Atlantic City Never strolled the Boardwalk Baltic Avenue, Marven Gardens From what states are they? Haven't been anywhere Never done anything much As inept as the best playing At the game of my life At the crunch of every roll Always rushing to go past go Lies the push for more dough The lifetime mass passes Community chest just in jest Hotels for houses make your move Moneys phony nothings stable Pay no taxes take your chances If all else fails you go to jail Free Parking bro's Parkers Waste your time collect your dime Travel the Reading Railroad Follow the commercial road toad! So what does one play today? Other games many other places Moving with the roll of the die |

Hi Dellena,
This is a fanciful poem and one I enjoyed reading from the first line to the last. You have chosen fine words to express yourself and even though they are light hearted I detect some melancholy betweem the lines. I'm probably wrong and you just wrote this for fun. And fun it is. Your syllable count is uneven but that doesn't detract a thing from this piece. Well done.
Best wishes,
