ADORATION

We expend our existence in exploration for  that one distinctive someone who will reflect our inner desire. Whose essence impeccably harmonize with our own as feelings fluently bond with us and whose tender emotions merge with our souls with a companion of our spirit. Discovered now  of many years past closely treasured for each heartbeat of this life; and eternity.

Beautiful Debbie, ftrom the heart, good vibrations that expand our life, and yours most particully, the basis of a companionship that grows into love, and the connection of the soul. Being privy to your complete history I know the realization sometimes is difficult to come to, this poem re-affirms just how far your emotions have grown, and it gives me a warm glow, to know(as in your case Greg is that person). Really amazing growth isn't it to come to the understanding just how far you've traveled to feel the warmth of Love always.......Joanne the sun, congratulations on being able to express as you have.

Debbie--This poem of address is quite an appealing precept for seekers of love (IMO). Also, great advice for relationship longevity in order to reach the point you so poignantly make; "Discovered now of many years past closely treasured for each heartbeat of this life; and eternity." An overall fantastic read, however, I found the second stanza a bit awkward due to an overuse of "whose," "with," and "our" (2 times; 4 times; 3 times-respectively). A substitution of like words for these repeats or a small rewrite (or combination of both) will give the strophe terseness/and/or clarity. Possible suggestion: "Whose essence impeccably harmonize with our feelings fluently bonding to us and those tender emotions merge these souls to a companion of same spirit." A SUGGESTION ONLY. Thanks for sharing your sound and sage advice so poetically. TLW

Debbie, The mature love that sneaks up on us is quite lovely isn't it? I am enjoying the undercurrent of if you stop looking you'll find it. We don't always take or make the time to stop looking when we are busy being young and busy. I really enjoyed the "Dicovered...this life" lines. They are rewarding in both warmth and promise. A sweet read, my friend. Love, Andrea

Love is a beautiful thing Debbie, and I can certainly share your sentiments that you have written about in this poem. We spend our lives looking for that special one that we can ADORE. We want to adore, love and admire this person, but you're right, at some point they have to be able to coexist with what is already inside of us. I think that this is where so many people go astray when they are seeking that someone. It's bigger than your attraction. What about their attraction? And all of it is bigger than attraction or what we see at first site. You sum it up in the last line. It's about ETERNITY. This is a great poem. It iterates a great truism in just a few lines. It doesn't take forever to say something this important and meaningful. As for corrections, add an "S" to harmonize for the subj. verb agreement of essence/harmonizes. Overall, this is a wonderful, wonderful thought, and I think it's a great reflection on love and partnership. It's so much bigger than the love we think, but it's all about the love we need forever. You have succinctly penned a thought provoking poem that will make readers think about what to think when they are thinking about finding someone. Thanks for sharing this one at TPL this month. Great job. Latorial www.latorial.com
