Outcome to Date in ContestJames C. HorakSo much time and energy you contribute to TPL each month James.....thank you again for being such an important part of the link. God Bless, Claire2010-03-10 23:34:59
QuestioningNancy Ann HemsworthHi Nancy hope you are well. Interesting read, well penned, enjoyed the read and all the images it created in my own mind. I know you write from your heart, perhaps there is something or someone new presently in your own life and if so I would listen to the beating of your own heart and don't be afraid to take hold of the opportunity given you. I am sure this piece will make the months contest and I am so pleased to see how you continue to grow in your penning. God Bless, Claire2010-03-10 23:31:25
An Insufferable Host Throws a Party (please read)James C. HorakI stopped by and yes I read your writing.....bravo for you James......I love how our words come alive whether you are just talking, telling it like it is or perhaps presenting a new poem from your pen. I have not written a single poem in way too long a spell and I often wish my muse would whisper in my ear while I sleep causing me to rise with pen in hand.....those were the days my friend and I am sure you have spent many sleepless nights listening to your muse run around in your head too. Thanks for being such a great friend to TPL and for sticking by all of us. Looking forward to what the month brings forward. God Bless, Claire2010-03-10 23:25:23
January VotesDeniMari Z.Hi Deni....my computer crashed twice since the end of the year and I have lost everything.....for now I am up can't say I am running though. First of all I am so very sorry to read about your husband's passing. Never an easy time and he must have been so young. My prayers are with all of you. Secondly, I am so sad to read about your illness and at this time it must be quite an adjustment even though you have had heart problems for many years. All one can do is take life one day at a time ...that's what I do. I have had heart problems for ten years now, open heart surgery, new aortic valve with a triple by pass. (I choose the St. Jude valve for it does not have to be replaced as the pig valve did).... I still have two faulty valves , high blood pressure, cardiovascular heart disease and though I am already on 25 pills a day they recently added home oxygen therapy....I also have two lung diseases that will stay with me till the day I earn my angel wings..... Though we have medical issues we are so very fortunate to be able to get out of bed most every day, my greatest joy these days is playing with my grandchildren.....Ben and Molly are the youngest that live closest and they just keep me going. My aunt in Rhode Island recently turning 93 had a pace maker put in last week....imagine that, now she is up and rearring to go.....I will keep you in my prayers and I know the Lord holds you in His loving arms. Please listen to the doctors, do what they tell you and use that pen of yours as you see fit. I pulled this posting so I could jot you a line or two, please do not respond with any critique......I will try to catch up on some of the poetry I missed last month and I look forward to the day my own muise wakes me in the middle of the night to write again. Take care my friend.......again, I am sorry about all your losses and sadness. God Bless, Claire2010-02-28 13:00:40
Fire GazerDellena RovitoHi Dellena; you certainly have become quite the poet my friend and this one is very special indeed. First of all the title "Fire Gazer" has a pulling effect for there is nothing more relaxing to me then to sit and watch a fire burning whether it be in my wood stove or outside in an open spot for toasting marshmallows.....your opening stanza brings forth a warm feeling as the coldness of the winter night is removed by the crackling fire...actually I so enjoy the sounds of the crackles, pops and the flames that are rage hot....and yes it is so easy my friend for our thoughts to turn back the hands of time to days gone by, other places, other people and other loves.....there is so much within the lines of this read, you certainly have created some pretty lovely images with the flare of your pen. Stoking the coals revives to higher Fire in the belly, spirit in the soul Forces of power and mind let go a fitting end to this read. Well, indeed you have been listening to some pretty great friends here on the link and it is nice to see you give thanks to them as well. I have not been doing much on line these days as my computer has been down more then up. I lost all my poems, points for critiquing and whatever I had earned over the past years due to my computer crashing down all around me...I need to begin again and I will give it a good try. For now I am on home oxygen due to the lung and heart problems but you know I can't let that keep me down. Got too many beautiful grandbabies to play with and great brandbabies too. Take good care, will always check for your poetry on this site. Stay as well as you can, my prayers are always with you. God Bless, Claire2010-02-25 19:27:42
Our Dear Dellena is Not WellJames C. HorakDellena.....it saddens me to find this posting and I pray perhaps by now you are home from the hospital and on the road to recovery. You and I know there are many roads through this walk through life and this is one of those detours.....angels surround you, thoughts and prayers continue to flow your way. Hoping to see a posting that you are on the road to recovery.......you are so very loved on this site perhaps by more people then you have ever met....our hearts join together to give you the strength you need to hurry home to us.....take good care, God Bless, Love, Claire 2009-11-30 00:27:05
The Coming of RainNancy Ann HemsworthHi Nancy.....just stopping by to let you know I have read this poem and find it so very powerful in its presentation.....the words flow and in the flowing bring forth images and emotions alike. Really good how you went to heal, to shatter, to fall....to what end? and in the end to project perhaps your own dreams. Thank you for posting, God Bless, Claire2009-11-30 00:22:32
If They Could Only See - EditedDeniMari Z.very appealing poet, enjoyed the first posting and enjoyed the smooth flow of your words in this one as well. Thanks for posting, God Bless, Claire2009-11-30 00:18:50
Jagged TonguesDeniMari Z.love the read, so true in so many ways......great that you went to the reunion and even better that you had a great time.....God Bless, Claire2009-11-30 00:16:32
C East 1975Nancy Ann Hemsworthmy computer shut down on me my friend and I have lost every part of what has been entered into the link for the past eight or so years....I was hoping my poetry was still here but that too is lost. If I could only remember my old password I might be able to have it restored but for now.......nothing. I know I have already critiqued this piece you have so well presented and how it certainly has touched my heart. The pain parents must feel and go through from the beginning to the end is reflected within the lines. I hope and pray that those who care for the infants, children, grown adults understands what it needed other then the restraints, forgetting, leaving alone to tend for themselves. You worked in such a facility and I am certain your patients were very fortunate to have you to care for them. Thank you for posting and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours...God Bless2009-11-26 19:24:05
